INVITATION:
"ALL are welcomed as official co-founders of the Global Peace Museum.
"

Our team aspires to scale up this historic project for a new international tourist destination with courage. Since you are an important member in our global family (regardless of your age, gender, race or where on Earth you live) we welcome your participation in developing the Global Peace Museum. HOW do you want to serve? Please let us know:

"The Global Peace Museum will be an educational institution which
primarily supports the youth and next generation of our huge and
beautiful Global Family. Mahatma Gandhi reminds us of the great
importance of the youth with his powerful quote: 'IF we are to teach
real peace in the world... we must begin with the children!' The Peace
Millennium ahead looks very bright because children can teach grownups
the great lesson of looking beyond barriers of race, class, age, color and nationality!"
--- John R. Naugle, Founder, President & CEO - Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc. (ACP)

"We fully support the mission of the Global Peace Museum (GPM).
Their goal of securing the retired space-shuttle ATLANTIS as
GPM's cornerstone exhibit was audacious. Establishing this
museum near the world's busiest airport would be smart.
Our vision is that the world's largest industry, travel and tourism,
becomes the world's first global peace industry.
We believe that every traveler is potentially an Ambassador for Peace."
--- Louis D’Amore (VERMONT)
Founder & CEO: International Institute for Peace through Tourism,
and Co-Creator for Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc.
=====================================================
"Atlanta has a heritage with universal significance which
provides the foundations for a world of peace and justice."

--- Dr. Peter van den Dungen (UK)
General Coordinator: The International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP)
and Chief Adviser: The Global Peace Museum, Co-Creator for Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc.
=====================================================
"Atlanta has a great significance...
Visionaries such as Mahatma Gandhi and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
have shown us that successful changes can be brought about nonviolently.
I believe that, at the basic human level, most of us wish to be peaceful.
Deep down, we desire constructive, fruitful growth and dislike destruction."

--- His Holiness The Dalai Lama (Oct. '07) www.DalaiLama.Emory.edu
(Note: He is an official part-time resident of Atlanta and our city’s #3 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate...
We have invited him to be an ACP Official Co-Founder; his decision pending)
=====================================================
"Atlanta: City of Peace has an opportunity to magnetize peace consciousness...
May Peace be in Atlanta and from Atlanta may it spread the world over!"

--- Fumi Johns Stewart (NY)
Executive Director: World Peace Prayer Society, and Co-Creator for Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc.

OPT-IN WEBSITE & EVENT VISITATION TERMSFAIR USE NOTICEThe Global Peace Museum (GPM) is a project with Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc. (ACP). This website, the ACP mother-site, other sub-sites may contain copyrighted material. Such material is made available to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi, his peace teacher. Their globally respected peace legacies have inspired hundreds of millions of people worldwide. All information on these sites is to help in Atlanta's transformation, and for educational purposes. We also want to advance the understanding of Gandhi's and King's historic contributions to cultivating spiritual development, peace, nonviolence, civil & human rights, democracy, plus scientific, moral, ethical and other social justice issues. * NOTE: Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc. (ACP) is an early stage organization aspiring to unite with courageous co-founders from all over metro-Atlanta, plus "Georgia: The Peace State", around the USA, and also in every other part of the world. We have Dr. King's "fierce urgency of now" because we are certain that Atlanta can "lift the spirits" of our entire Global Family. We are confidant that Atlanta be seen as a cornerstone of the Peace Millennium (Years 2000-3000) and further substantiate the great virtue and cause of peace worldwide. We invite help in marketing, or 'branding' Dr. King's birthplace as a global beacon of peace: www.ATLANTAcityofpeace.org Accomplishing this, Atlanta will eventually inspire dozens of countries, thousands of cities, and billions of siblings from our global family. The primary focus, emphasis and inspiration for all of our efforts is centered around Dr. King's powerful quote:

"This call for a worldwide fellowship that lifts neighborly concern beyond one's
tribe, race, class, and nation is in reality a call for an all-embracing and
unconditional love for all humankind... We are now faced with the fact, my friends,
that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now.
In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late."
